Hi there. My goodness, the sun is shining brightly in Dublin this evening! I've even left the glare on photo as evidence of this rare event (lol).
With so many flower/garden related challenges right now I turned to Graphic 45 'Secret Garden' papers - they never disappoint.
It's a short post today!
Papers: Graphic 45 'Secret Garden', Melissa Frances 'Attic Treasures', Bazzill cardstock and doily from stash.
Dies: MFT Dienamics: 'Royal Leaves', 'Mini Royal Roses', 'Mini Rolled Roses' and 'Small Scallop Border'. Magnolia: 'Heart Flower Lace'. Spellbinders: 'Romantic Rectangles' and 'Decorative Labels 27'. Memory Box: 'Perched Reed Bird' and 'Woodland Branch'.
Embellishments: I made the flowers, leaves, birds and branch from a little bit of G45 paper! Karen Foster Charms (dabbed with Treasure Gold 'White Fire'). Pearls are by Melissa Frances and water droplets are by Hero Arts. Silk Ribbon by May Arts tied using Boweasy. The beautiful lace is from The Funkie Junkie Boutique so I wish to enter card to the Frilly and Funkie Sunday Share.
Sincere thanks to all who visit - your comments/following really are much appreciated. May the sun shine on you this weekend!
Nicola x

Nicola..your piece is stunning. I so love those papers from G45 and you have utilized them so perfectly in this card. I love all of your layering of different papers, patterns and die cut images. So expertly done. You have such a way with detail. I really love the simplest things about this card...the way you've tucked the white ribbon through the blue and cream die cut is a perfect example of that. The doily adds such a sweetness as do those little charms. Beautiful job! Thanks for sharing your art with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
ReplyDeleteYou're not kidding! These papers are magical. It's like walking into a pristine historical garden. They're gorgeous and so full of life and warmth. I love how you altered the papers on the birds and the choice of papers for the leaves. It's beautiful how it all frames that precious image. OHHHH and I love the little gems falling out of the watering can to emulate water...awesome job Nicola!!! :D This card truly made me smile.
