Hello and many thanks for stopping by.
I'm sorry for such a prolonged absence but a long-term neck condition has worsened recently, now affecting my shoulder / arm, and thereby keeping me away from crafting and pc (and lots of other necessary tasks!). I'll receive nerve block injections the week after next and hopefully they will enable me to resume crafting etc.
In the meantime, here's a birthday card I made some time back for a dear and very loyal blogging pal.
Embellishments: Beautiful Stick Pin by Mandy - available here.
Roses by Jeans. Dots done with Liquid Pearls.
Papers: Maja Design
Dies: Sizzix thinlits, TH 'Butterfly Frenzy', Memory Box and Spellbinders
Punches: TH Bow and Martha Stewart edger
Other: Edges inked with DIs and Krylon gilding pen. Frantage sprinkled randomly. Sentiment stamp by Anna Griffin
Thank-you so much for your visit and hoping to see you around blogland soon.
Nicola x

ReplyDeleteHi Nicola! This birthday card is so lovely. Your blogging friend is very lucky. :) I was so sorry to read that you've been enduring quite a bit of pain lately and that it's kept you from crafting. That is such a shame as your work is so unbelievably beautiful. I hope that you will start feeling better because if you are like me, being able to create makes everything better. :) Feel better soon, my friend and thank you so much for the lovely comment you left on my blog regarding the last Compendium of Curiosities challenge piece. Hello lovely :)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you are suffering, I really hope the injections help you. It sounds so similar to my nerve pain only mine all starts in the shoulder and affects my arm, hand, back & neck as well as the darn shoulder. Have you tried Gabapentine for the pain hun? If not ask your doctor about it, it's the only thing that works for my nerve pain although it does make me feel drunk, the big bonus is you have no hangover when it wears off lol.
Your card is stunning Nicola. You are amazingly talented & even when sufferng you still make such beautiful creations.
Big hugs & thanks for linking my little pin xxx

Well dagnabit....ain't nobody got time for that! That stinks and I'm sorry to hear it's messing with you again. I hope you kick its butt soon and return to your normal crafting duties. That other housework stuff can wait. I'm not sure where I was when you posted this (probably in the stinking laundry room folding again) but I hope that you get feeling up to par soon.
ReplyDeleteBig huge hugs to you Nicola,
Lisa x
