Hello and welcome!
Another quick post showing how I placed crackled ice skates in alternate colour scheme to previous post. They look a little chiller here!
Papers: Maja Design
Dies: Sizzix 'Ice Skates', Sizzix 'Holiday Words', Sizzix Framelits 'Enchanted' by Prima, Sizzix Decorative Strip 'Holly, Snowflake, Beaded Garland'
Glitter: Melissa Frances Silver glass glitter and Ranger Clear Rock Candy
Media: Crackle glaze by Decoart. Weathered Wood DI. Ground Espresso Distress paint. Waco Chrome pearl pen. Krylon Silver leafing pen.
Other: Silver metallic string from stash
Thought I'd share that I've recently bought the Sizzix Precision Base Plate to use with my Big Shot. It's a great buy! Much handier to use with one cutting plate (that will stay flat) rather than struggling with the usual bent plates. One pass and it's cut.
Thank-you for your visit!
Nicola

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing at Allsorts 'Sentiment as Focal Point' challenge and good luck x Susan x
The skates look stunning in the crackled white and I love the treatment you gave the runners, it looks just like ice - so clever. Great use of the Maja papers too, they are so beautiful in the skate design. There is nothing nicer for Christmas than blue and white, in my opinion and I do love the boldness of the black words. Beautiful, simply beautiful! Hugs, Anne xx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Anne! The words do indeed look black in photo but they are actually painted with 'Ground Espresso'. I'm loving its deep dark brown (despite it looking black here!). Nx
DeleteLOVE them in blue!!! LOVE the silver edging on the blade...I didn't notice that before! Gorgeous card...again!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I do like the frosty blue look and the scuffed ice on the bottom of the skates. Another Ground Espresso lover I see... isn't it gorgeous?!
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
Gorgeous! I might like it even better than the pink version. Love how you did the ice on the blades.
